100-Year Centennial Celebration

City of Scappoose, Oregon

To honor Scappoose’s 100th year, Treadway produced a full-day celebration across two city parks—featuring a parade, car show, live music, and historic exhibits. We managed everything from branding to permits, staging to vendor curation, creating a milestone event that united generations through local pride.

A CENTURY OF COMMUNITY CELEBRATED WITH CITYWIDE STYLE

To honor Scappoose’s 100th anniversary, the City hosted a day-long, citywide celebration filled with market vendors, live music, a parade, hot rod car show, historic exhibits, and family activities. Spanning across two city parks, the milestone event brought together residents, visitors, and generations of community pride.

STRATEGIC SOLUTIONS

CHALLENGE

Balance historical storytelling with modern event production, all within a small-town setting—while managing multiple stakeholders, modest budgets, and a wide variety of programming across multiple city blocks.

INSIGHT

Heritage events succeed when they feel authentically local, but that doesn’t mean they should lack polish. By integrating community input with professional planning, the centennial could feel both meaningful and memorable.

SOLUTION

Treadway worked directly with city council and event committees to produce the event from start to finish. Our team assisted with branding, vendor curation, and site layout design, and managed permits, rentals, AV & staging coordination, and on-site production. We developed a full schedule of entertainment and experiences including a community stage, kids’ zone, historical tent, and curated local showcases. Marketing efforts focused on maximizing awareness while highlighting civic pride.

RESULTS

The celebration drew a strong regional turnout, earned positive media coverage, and served as a touchstone moment for the community. Residents and city leadership praised the event for its scope, smooth execution, and ability to reflect 100 years of history while looking toward the future.
