Love Struck Drive-In was a romantic, socially-distanced Valentine’s Day event hosted at Washington Square Mall that brought couples and friends together for a safe, cozy celebration under the stars. Guests enjoyed a back-to-back lineup of beloved romantic comedies, themed photo ops, and contactless concessions—all from the comfort of their vehicles, surrounded by string lights and Valentine’s décor.
With indoor dining, events, and date night experiences limited by COVID-19 restrictions, we needed to create a safe, share-worthy Valentine’s celebration that still felt personal and special.
Even in isolation, people were looking for connection, escapism, and lighthearted joy. A nostalgic drive-in experience—blended with cinematic charm and seasonal theming—could meet those needs while delivering a memorable Valentine’s outing.
Treadway transformed the drive-in format into a romantic destination, complete with heart-themed signage, soft ambient lighting, photo installations, and contactless food delivery. We implemented a timed entry system, FM radio audio broadcast, and a smooth traffic flow plan to keep the experience seamless, safe, and celebratory.
